Description
The .32 ACP is yet another John Browning designed cartridge, this one from 1900 or 1899 depending on your sources. This round is often called the 7.65mm Browning so if you are shopping around sometimes the box says one or the other, but usually it says something like 7.65mm Browning / 32 Auto.
The .32 ACP fits right between the 380 and the 25 Auto like you might imagine it would. It has slightly less power, speed, and energy than the 380 and slightly more than the .25.
Because there is no real need for a cartridge of this caliber it’s not a very popular choice. This bullet has little “stopping power” and is not recommended as a personal defense cartridge. We would suggest you upgrade to the .380 at the very least, and maybe even the 9mm. All in all the .32 ACP is a fun plinking cartridge if you can find a pistol at a good price grab one. This round may also be a good one for a youth pistol, or to help someone build familiarity with firearms as it has very little recoil.
